Year 8 Bushcraft Adventure

Our Year 8 pupils recently took part in an unforgettable bushcraft adventure at Boughton Woods, braving the elements and learning valuable new skills along the way. Despite the unpredictable weather, they showed great determination and team spirit as they got stuck into a wide range of outdoor challenges. After the end of Year exams, this was a welcome break and chance to relax.

From building fires and constructing shelters to mastering camouflage techniques, first aid, and even watching a salmon preparation demonstration, the trip was packed with hands-on learning and fun. The pupils’ enthusiasm didn’t go unnoticed—one of the bushcraft leaders shared that this was the best Year 8 group she had worked with, praising their positive attitude and teamwork throughout.
