The IHSA is the Parent Association of Ipswich High School. We have two aims: to foster a sense of community within the parent body through the organisation of social activities and secondly to support the school in a variety of areas. All parents and guardians at Ipswich High School are automatically members of the IHSA and there is no subscription and no need to apply to join.
The IHSA raises considerable funds throughout the year, to help the school purchase items that are beyond the normal operating costs of the school. So far this year, we have been able to purchase items such as a drone and Go-Pro, online sports portal, and a new sound desk for the Hayworth Theatre. We are currently raising funds for an outdoor classroom for the Prep School and your involvement in our events and initiatives will help us to achieve this.
The IHSA Committee meets once a term and consists of about fifteen parent members and come from all year groups, and are accompanied on the Committee by members of the School Senior Management Team and teachers. We hope that as members of the Association you will support our fund raising activities including the Bags2School collection, second hand uniform shop, Summer Fête, Christmas Fayre and our annual Quiz Evening.

23rd April 2018 from 4.30pm at Woolverstone Hall.
The easiest way to get involved in IHSA activities is to come along!
We’d love to see you at the AGM, Christmas Fayre, the Summer Fete or our Quiz Night. Or, perhaps you would like to help organise or assist at events?
Or could you spare an hour to man the second-hand uniform shop? If you are able to help in any way then please do get in touch, we would love to hear from you: email@example.com.
The summer fete is being held on Saturday 23rd June 2018 from 12pm – 3pm.
It is always a hugely popular and great family fun day out. Bring friends and relations to relax in the beautiful grounds of Woolverstone Hall.
The Christmas Fayre is on Friday 7th December 2018 in the Sports Hall and is a fun afternoon for all ages.
There will be many craft stalls to buy gifts from, games, carol singing and Father Christmas.
This will take place on Saturday 16th March 2019. Tickets are priced at £12 and this includes a ploughman’s supper. There will be a licensed IHSA bar where wine, beer and soft drinks may be purchased.
We suggest teams of 8 people but smaller groups may be joined together, where possible, to make up teams.
