Ipswich High School Association
The IHSA is the Parent Association of Ipswich High School. We have two aims: to foster a sense of community within the parent body through the organisation of social activities and secondly to support the school in a variety of areas. All parents and guardians at Ipswich High School are automatically members of the IHSA; there is no subscription and no need to apply to join.
The IHSA raises considerable funds throughout the year, to help the school purchase items that are beyond the normal operating costs of the school. Recently we have been able to purchase items such as a drone and Go-Pro, online sports portal, and a new sound desk for the Hayworth Theatre.
The IHSA Committee meets once a term and consists of about fifteen parent members, from all year groups, and are accompanied on the Committee by members of the School Senior Leadership Team and teachers. We hope that as members of the Association you will support our fund raising activities including the Bags2School collection, second hand uniform shop, Summer Fête, Christmas Fayre and our annual Quiz Evening.

Events
Summer Fete
The Summer Fete is the IHSA’s biggest event of the year.
It takes place every summer and is always a hugely popular day out for the whole family. Bring friends and relations to relax in the beautiful grounds of Woolverstone Hall.
Christmas Fayre
The annual Christmas Fayre is held each December in the Sports Hall and is a fun afternoon for all ages.
There are many craft stalls to buy gifts from, games, carol singing and Father Christmas.
Quiz Night
We hold an annual quiz, which is always a very popular event. Included in the cost of the ticket is a ploughman’s supper and there is a licensed IHSA bar where wine, beer and soft drinks may be purchased.
Second Hand Uniform Shop
We run a shop selling second-hand uniform throughout the year, located in Woolverstone Hall and open on set dates during each term.

Selling or Donating Uniform
If you would like to sell or donate any items they can be dropped off when the shop is open. All items must be labelled and your contact details included on the specified form.
We will accept:
Senior: Blazers, jumpers, sports kit, new style skirts and blouses, aprons, hockey sticks, tennis racquets, swimming costumes.
Prep: Blazers, new style skirts, pinafores and blouses, sports kit, swimming costumes, jumpers, aprons, hockey sticks, tennis racquets.
