Year 6 ‘Window to Learning’

By Mrs Finch, Head of Prep

Last week, our Year 6 pupils took centre stage in a vibrant ‘Window to Learning’ session, where they presented their business plans and products to an enthusiastic audience of parents and grandparents. Each team shared their entrepreneurial journey—from concept to product development—and our visitors were truly impressed by the confidence, creativity, and clarity on display.
Feedback from the afternoon was glowing, with comments such as, “Very impressive! Definitely, some future titans of industry here!” and “A wonderful afternoon. Great to see how much thought has gone into the charity choices.” Guests also remarked on the pupils’ impressive understanding of market competition and their ability to present so clearly and passionately.
Even more inspiring is the fact that these young entrepreneurs have now begun selling their products, with all profits going to charities carefully selected by each team. Their pride in giving back is clear and deeply commendable.
Beyond the brilliant ideas and business plans, this project has helped our pupils develop a range of vital life skills—from collaboration and communication to critical thinking and resilience. These are the skills that will serve them not just in the classroom, but in the years and opportunities ahead.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them – they have bright futures ahead!
