Year 10 – Year 13 Sports Celebration Dinner

Last week the P.E department hosted the Year 10 – Year 13 Sports Celebration Dinner. Tyler Orr, a current London Pulse Netball player, joined us as our guest speaker and talked passionately about being patient in your pursuit of excellence, being resilient in the face of setbacks, and enjoying multiple sports while you can at school. We also welcomed ex Head of P.E and Hockey from Ipswich High School, Mrs Carol Perks. She joined us to present a new award, named in her honour to a Year 11 pupil who excels in GCSE PE academically and practically. She spoke fondly of her time at Ipswich High School and the move from Westerfield Road to Woolverstone Hall. The Sixth Form Sports Captains spoke very well, presenting their experiences as leaders of our many sports teams. They were fantastic ambassadors for their sport.
