Head of Marketing

Salary: Competitive renumeration, based on skills, knowledge and experience
Hours: Full Time – 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced content creator and marketer to join our team to promote all that Ipswich High School has to offer.

As Head of Marketing, reporting to the Head, you will be responsible for delivering a strategic communications and reputational building programme.ย  You will have ownership and responsibility for all corporate communications, PR, media statements, digital presence and profile.ย  You will play an important role in enhancing the visibility and reputation of Ipswich High School through a variety of channels.

A considerable degree of content creation and social media literacy, Instagram/Facebook/ LinkedIn, is essential.

You will be an inspiring, energetic, creative and innovative leader, managing a small marketing team. ย Providing clear, positive, consistent school communications both locally and nationally with support from the Senior Leadership Team.

You will also support the organisation and management of events to continue building and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective families.

Peripatetic Clarinet Teacher

Required: January 2026

Ipswich High School is looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of clarinet to join the excellent team of visiting instrumental and vocal teachers.ย  The school has a strong tradition of music and students often perform locally and nationally.

The Music Department is a happy, vibrant place to work, and the students are friendly and motivated. There is a supportive ethos in the school and vocal and instrumental teachers often run ensembles.

The new teacher should have experience of entering students for exams and must be familiar with a wide range of repertoire as well as an ability to teach technique and musicianship.

Learning Support Assistant – Senior School

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils and staff in our school. Whilst we are ideally looking for someone with experience in this type of role, for an exceptional candidate without significant experience, we would still encourage you to apply.

Applicants must be competent and confident in supporting pupils up to at least GCSE level. Experience of or an understanding of how best to support pupils with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, and speech and language difficulties is desirable. Knowledge of supporting pupils in mathematics and the sciences would be particularly advantageous.

After School Club Supervisor

Salary: ยฃ12.21 per hour
Hours: Part time, 2/3 afternoons per week
The School Day: Monday to Thursday: 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm and Friday: 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Term time only

Required: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible After School Club Supervisor to help support pupils after school. You will be part of a dedicated team; duties will include playing a complementary and supporting role for Prep aged pupils in the afterschool wraparound provision. You will work in a small team to establish and support a home-from-home environment, enabling games and imaginative play, arts and crafts and supporting pupils with their learning and homework where appropriate. Flexibility and a sense of humour is vital.
