U15 success at ISA Nationals

On a cold November Tuesday, the Under 15 A and B teams travelled to Lee Valley for the ISA National Tournament. The A team started well with early goals from Annabel and Lara, and a defensive line of Isabella, Anna, and Willow that no opponent could break. However, despite long spells of possession, two matches finished 0–0, placing the girls in the Plate competition.
After lunch, the team found their scoring touch again. Smart play between Georgia and Idunn created openings for Sophie and Annabel to finish confidently. With Scarlett commanding in goal and the defence still unbeaten, the team earned their place in the final.
The final was fiercely contested, with Idunn and Lara pressing hard, Isabella making key tackles, and Scarlett providing a vital save. A rare opposition mistake allowed Annabel to intercept, drive into the D, and score the winner. IHS took the Plate with eight goals scored, none conceded.
The Under 15 B’s built-up momentum throughout the day. Finishing with nail-biting game for the 3rd and 4th play-off created by a last-minute equaliser sent the team to flicks. Expertly placed flicks by Isla and Cora to seal the win.
Squad: Scarlett, Olivia, Elise, Willow, Anna, Isabella, Isla, Flo, Cora, Annabel, Idunn, Lara, Sophie, Georgia, Clara, Poppy, Amelie
