Remembrance Day

On Monday, the entire IHS community came together to mark Remembrance Day by gathering solemnly outside Woolverstone Hall to honour the sacrifices made by countless individuals during times of war and conflict.
The assembly, which started at 10:30 am, was led by Year 9 students from the History Society, who guided the community through a thoughtful exploration of the impact of war. At 10:45 am, a special piano performance of End of Time by Olivier Messiaen was given by Madeleine.
Concluding at 10:50 am, pupils were then escorted by their tutors across to Woolverstone Hall. There, all pupils, including Prep students, assembled for the two-minute silence. At 10:58 am, Mr. Browning read The Exhortation. Georgia then marked the solemnity of the moment by sounding The Last Post at 10:59 am, leading into the two-minute silence observed at 11:00 am. The service concluded as Georgia played The Rouse, followed by Mr. Browning reading The Kohima Epitaph, signalling the end of the ceremony.
