Ipswich High School Named Finalist in the Muddy’s Best Schools Awards 2025

Ipswich High School is proud to announce that our Sixth Form has been shortlisted as a Finalist in the Muddy’s Best Schools Awards 2025 in the Awesome Sixth Form (Senior School) category, in association with Debrett’s Education.

This recognition celebrates our Sixth Form’s commitment to empowering future leaders through excellence, innovation, and holistic growth. At Ipswich High School, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional education that goes far beyond exam results, preparing our students to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.

Our Sixth Form offers a dynamic balance of academic excellence, leadership opportunities, and pastoral care, ensuring every student is known, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential. With small class sizes, daily tutor support, and an ever-evolving enrichment programme, each student receives the individual attention needed to succeed.

Recent results reflect this commitment:

  • 20% of A Level grades achieved at A* in 2024.
  • 80% of students secured a place at their first-choice university, with 32% progressing to prestigious Russell Group institutions, including Cambridge, UCL, and Warwick.
  • Students also gain apprenticeships with leading employers such as Aon, AstraZeneca, and BT.

Leadership and enrichment are at the heart of our Sixth Form experience, with over 300 clubs and activities running throughout the year and opportunities for students to lead initiatives, mentor younger pupils, and take part in community projects. Traditions such as our popular ‘Tea and Toast’ sessions encourage open discussion, reflection, and connection across year groups.
