Thea Scott, Year 13 Head of School at Ipswich High who achieved A*A*A*A, will be attending UEA to study Medicine. “I got an A* in Geography, an A* in Biology, an A in Chemistry and an A* in my EPQ. I am blown away with my results and I am heading to UEA for medicine, which is very exciting, it is my dream course. The memories this school has given me will be a big part of my life. I will miss everyone at Ipswich High, there are so many good people here and the teachers are the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
Daisy Condon who achieved A*A*A*A*, will be attending the University of Liverpool to be a vet. “I am going to study Veterinary Science at Liverpool. I have wanted to study veterinary since Year 9 and I loved Liverpool when I went there. It is really hard to pinpoint one great thing about Ipswich High as it really is amazing, but I think every day coming to school and feeling like you are in a supportive environment is so lovely and it definitely feels like the school has a family feel and I think my results reflect that.”
Rebecca Bird, who achieved A*A*AA, will be attending the University of Durham to study Biological Sciences. “I am going to Durham which was my first choice to study Biology. I have been at Ipswich High since Year 6. My advice to anyone coming to Ipswich High would be to enjoy it and make the most of all the opportunities.”
Other notable achievements include; Merrilie O’Sullivan (A*A*A*), Zion Arewa (A*A*A) and Yusef Soliman (AAB) who is going on to study Medicine and Alyssa Cooper (AAA) who is going on to study Anthropology and Archaeology.
Dan Browning, the school’s Head, is impressed with the student’s performance: “I am delighted for our pupils who have worked so hard to achieve these outstanding results. Huge thanks to their teachers and families for the support they have given them throughout their post-16 studies. I wish all of our pupils leaving us every success in their educational next steps; they remain part of our IHS family wherever in the world they go on to study and for the rest of their lives.”
Looking ahead, Ipswich High School remains committed to providing the foundations to flourish for all our students, while encouraging them to be inspired, happy and successful individuals. We congratulate all our students and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.
