Daffodil Tradition

At Ipswich High School, we have an annual tradition of inviting all new students and staff to plant a daffodil bulb as a celebration of new beginnings.
In Springtime, the daffodils bloom in a stunning display lining the driveway leading to Woolverstone Hall. We are now planting around the perimeter of the sports field near the Prep School, and in years to come, will follow this route around the edge of the field towards the front of Woolverstone Hall.
On Thursday, all new members of staff as well as pupils from Nursery through to Sixth Form wrapped up warm and went outside to plant their bulbs.
Groundsman Glenn had dug out trenches ready for planting and was on hand to advise the little ones on how to plant their bulbs.
For those of you not so new to Ipswich High, prepare to be pleasantly surprised to see yet more daffodils in bloom next Spring around the school grounds.
