Cross Country Silver House Challenge

On Wednesday 20th November, the entire school braved the chilly, yet gloriously sunny conditions to run our annual Whole School Cross Country Silver House Challenge.
First to run were the nursery and reception students and it was lovely to see how enthusiastic they were to take on their course. Many of them managed to complete the course without stopping!

The next wave that set off were the KS1 and KS2 pupils. Once again, there were plenty of keen and eager runners and a real determination to keep going was seen throughout the course. Thank you to the amazing Prep School team, the parents, and our Sixth Form leaders for supporting the pupils throughout the event.
Our older students then took the reins and in a mixture of โ€˜fun runsโ€™ and a longer competitive course, we once again saw dedication and some fantastic runs from students from Year 6 all the way through to Sixth Form.

Thank you to all staff who supported by either running the course (in some cases, multiple times!) with each of the groups, or for marshalling out on the course.
With participation being the integral aspect of this event, every single runner contributed vital points for their houses.
It was lovely to see the older students cheering on their younger teammates and supporting each other.

Once they had completed their runs, students were rewarded for their efforts with a well-deserved and much needed warming hot chocolate and biscuits.
