A spectacular evening at the IHS Fest

Last Friday, our school grounds came alive with colour, music, and laughter as we celebrated the IHS Festโ€”a joyous summer event that brought together pupils, families, staff, and friends of the school for an unforgettable evening of community spirit.

From the very start, the energy was electric. The stage played host to a series of fantastic performances, with pupils showcasing their musical talents and entertaining the crowd with passion and flair. Around the festival, local artisans and stallholders added a creative buzz, offering everything from handcrafted gifts to delicious treats.

For thrill-seekers, the big wheel and inflatables proved popular, while younger guests loved the hook-a-duck and the ever-popular โ€˜poo-in-the-looโ€™ challengeโ€”bringing smiles to faces young and old!

We were blessed with glorious weather, which added to the relaxed, summer festival vibe, and made the school grounds the perfect setting for such a vibrant celebration.

Events like IHS Fest are made possible thanks to the dedication and support of the Ipswich High School Association (IHSA). Their tireless fundraising efforts help to fund so many of the enriching, innovative, and fun opportunities that enhance school life beyond the classroomโ€”from new resources to memorable trips and extracurricular activities.

Weโ€™re excited to be sharing some news soon about how funds raised from this yearโ€™s festival will be usedโ€”so watch this space!

To everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, or helped behind the scenes: thank you. Your contribution helped make the IHS Fest a true celebration of our unique and vibrant school community.

We canโ€™t wait to do it all again next year!
