Stagebox Success for Ceci

Ipswich High School is delighted to celebrate the success of Ceci, our new Head Girl of Prep, who has secured places on both the Stagebox London Acting and Singing programmes following a highly competitive audition process.
Her Stagebox opportunity came after Ceci was spotted by an agent while performing in a drama production and encouraged to audition for Stagebox.
Ceci joined Ipswich High School through our Year 5 Scholarship Programme, where she was awarded scholarships in both Drama and Music. These awards continue through into Senior School, supporting talented pupils as they develop their skills and pursue their ambitions over the longer term.
Hundreds of young performers took part in auditions held over two days, with Ceci subsequently offered places across two disciplines. She will join the London Acting programme, which comprises just 25 young performers, alongside taking up a place on the Stagebox Singing programme.
Stagebox is a highly regarded training and talent development organisation for young performers, providing specialist coaching, industry insight and opportunities designed to prepare talented young people for professional careers across theatre, television and film.
The organisation has strong links with the professional performing arts industry, with young performers connected to Stagebox and its associated talent management working in major West End, television and screen productions.
Ceci’s father said: “We are delighted that she has been selected for such a high-level programme. It is a real testament to her hard work this year and to the support she has received from the school and its wonderful music, singing and drama teachers. They have helped develop her enormously as a performer, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunities she has been given -from Annie and Matilda, to her ISA success and now Stagebox.”

For Ceci to secure offers in both Acting and Singing is an impressive achievement and recognition of her talent and potential as a young performer. It is also a particularly exciting start to the year for Ceci as she takes on the joint-role of Head of Prep, representing the school alongside continuing to develop her passion for the performing arts.
We are extremely proud of all that Ceci has achieved and look forward to following her progress as she begins both her Stagebox journey in London and her year as Head Girl of Prep.
