By Mrs Armita Forouhar, Prep Teacher.
During Science Week, the Prep school was alive with scientific enthusiasm, as students eagerly participated in a variety of engaging activities within their classrooms. Students were delighted in a Planetarium tour, exploring the galaxy and observing different stars and planets. The WHNR session on recycling was a hit, with pupils eagerly sorting materials into various waste bins. Additionally, some KS2 students visited the Senior science labs during their lunch break to witness fascinating experiments conducted by Senior pupils.
On Wednesday, 12th March, Year 5 and Year 6 students took part in a series of STEM activities at BT Adastral Park. They programmed robots, learned about the applications of AI in homes and hospitals, and were captivated by the science behind holograms and their real-world uses.
Looking ahead, Prep pupils will participate in a poster competition themed โAdapt and Change,โ with submissions due by Monday, 24th March. This competition offers a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and understanding of scientific concepts.
