Why Ipswich High School?
Founded in 1878, Ipswich High School has a longstanding reputation for offering an exceptional education and experience to pupils. While tradition remains important to us, we are proud to be a forward-thinking school and take an innovative and personalised approach to our curriculum and enrichment offer.
We are the only school in Suffolk to be offering the Diamond Model approach to education. Allowing boys and girls to be taught separately in the transformative senior years in subjects, where we have evidence that achievement is increased in single-sex classrooms.
Our beautiful 84-acre campus is located in Woolverstone, just outside of Ipswich and has incredible facilities. We capitalise on our outstanding natural surroundings; for example via our stimulating Forest and Beach School to encourage outdoor learning.
Our results are outstanding, particularly at GCSE level where we have the strongest results in our region, however our pastoral care and a nurturing environment is an equal priority for the school. We believe that all pupils should have the opportunity to grow both inside and outside the classroom our ‘Enrichment Programme’ embedded into the school day enables our pupils to pursue varied and exciting passions.
With the current expansion of the school, we have limited places available for September 2018 and would be delighted to offer you a tour of our campus so that we can show you what truly makes Ipswich High School so special.
