Weekend Activities
As we have no Saturday school, we are able to make the most of the day and take advantage of our excellent location.
Every Saturday there is an offer of a local afternoon activity or a full day trip, ranging from a visit to the local cinema or a trip to the beach, to an exciting day at Harry Potter Studios or a visit to Cambridge. On a Saturday evening there is always a social event to give pupils the chance to spend quality time together.
Sundays allow time to enjoy the outstanding sports facilities and grounds and to spend some quiet time catching up with friends and completing homework.
Not included in the formal programme, is also the opportunity to undertake the following activities locally: skiing or use of the golf driving range at Suffolk Leisure Park; indoor climbing at Avid Climbing Centre; participating in our on-site hockey club; learning sailing or paddle sports at Alton Water; joining a local performing arts group.

Evening Activity Programme
Our Houseparents and Matron organise evening activities for our boarding pupils to enjoy each night. These include:
- Film Nights in the Cinema Room
- Bingo
- Board Game Nights
- Arts & Crafts (eg. Making Christmas and Halloween Decorations)
- Themed Dinners and Holiday Activities
- Birthday Celebrations
- Games in the Garden (Badminton, Cricket, Croquet, Football)
- Waffle Making and Milkshake Madness
- Barbecues (in the Summer)
- Evening River Walks
- Sushi Making
- Baking
