Ipswich High School at the ISA National Swimming Finals

On Saturday 1st December several members of the Ipswich High School swim squad travelled to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Pool in Stratford, to compete in the ISA National Finals.

Ipswich High School pupils helped the East Anglian Regional Team finish in third place amongst the whole nation, the highest they have finished in several years. The Year 7 medley relay team, which featured Seren Page and Emily Knight, won the event; a feat which East Anglia has never achieved before.

In total, the IHS team brought home 21 medals; an outstanding achievement.

Annabelle B. – Gold in the 100m breaststroke, Bronze in the individual freestyle, Silver in the medley relay and Bronze in the freestyle relay

Seren P. – Gold in the 50m butterfly, individual freestyle and medley relay and Silver in the freestyle relay

Emily K. – Silver in the 50m backstroke, Gold in the medley relay and Silver in the freestyle relay

Isabelle R. – Silver in the medley relay and Bronze in the freestyle relay

Emily L. – Bronze in the 50m breaststroke

Alexandra B., Megan G. and Lara P. – Bronze in the medley relay and Silver the freestyle relay

Lily C. – Bronze in the freestyle relay

Megan G. – Silver in the 50m freestyle

Jessica B. – Bronze in the freestyle relay

Hannah O., Amber D., Ella H. and Agatha V. narrowly missed out on medals in the medley and freestyle relays, finishing fourth
