This Year at Ipswich High School for Girls, we are aiming to raise £10,000 to support the new Woolverstone Macmillan Centre at Ipswich Hospital by participating in different events throughout the academic year. We have already started our fundraising events including our Roald Dahl Day and a fantastic Silent Disco in the Autumn Term.
On Friday 17th March, our pupils will undertake the next fundraising event, our Extreme Triathlon!
Every pupil in the School will be involved from the Pre-Prep through to the Sixth Form. Between us we will:
- Run 1,500 miles (the distance from Ipswich High School to Athens)
- Swim 19 nautical miles (the same as crossing the English Channel)
- Cycle 874 miles (the distance from Land's End to John O'Groats)
We have different distances available for girls throughout the School from one length of the swimming pool to 200 metres or mini laps of our AstroTurf on scooters/tricycles to cycling 10km! All of this will take place at Ipswich High School throughout the School site.
